My review...

A terrific book. Use it to teach your child individual words or as an early reader for a kid to have fun with. Either age is going to laugh and laugh at the cute and funny illustrations. I bet you do too.

This is so colorful. It’s one of those books where it’s difficult to determine which is most important, the words or the illustrations. Oops, it’s called Word Up, isn’t it?

The big individual words or short phrases make it a great learning book, but combined with the illustrations, there are many ways to educate kids in this book. You can talk about what the words mean, why a dog is mumbling, what a Viking is…just a full day of fun.

Words are the windows through which children view the world. Familiar, uncommon, short and sweet, long and quirky; words make all the difference.

In Word Up, discover how a word packs a punch and possesses the power to heal, hurt, help, and humble. Watch children learn how to choose words wisely, and to recognize that sometimes, the simplicity of kindness itself is expressed in gentle silence.
