Zog's Big Question

Some answers change you forever.

Zog's Big Question: An interplanetary tale of wonder, belief, and big questions.

Follow Zog, an inquisitive young alien from the planet Luminos—where everything is tested, measured, and understood—as he investigates mysterious reports from a distant blue world called Terra.

With the help of his new friends, Sam and Max, Zog explores a park, a church, a library, and a university — meeting people with many different ideas about life's biggest questions.

Zog's Big Question is a thoughtful, gently humorous adventure for readers 8 and up — a celebration of curiosity, imagination, and the many ways people search for truth.

My Review...

Zog is a cute little alien, and when he lands on our planet, his logical thinking and some of the things he encounters don’t seem logical. Almost sounds like a true story, doesn’t it?

This is well written and has a few illustrations. It is also a story that might cause young children to question things they see. However, I do not think one would know what the book was about from the synopsis. This is a book about Christianity and faith. I gave this book four stars for its construction and writing. It is not a subject I would buy a book about.

 Read an Excerpt...

It wasn’t until Zog was halfway to the Great Museum of Exploration that he realized—he’d forgotten his lamp.

Luckily, all the questions about whether it was even possible to go off-world were bright enough to light the way.

As Zog crept through the vast halls, he noticed just how empty the museum was. Without the usual crowds, he could finally lose himself in the exhibits without worrying about bumping into anyone.

His footfalls echoed across the crystal floor as towering displays vied for his attention—relics from a time when Luminites still explored the cosmos, hungry for knowledge and driven by curiosity.

Gleaming spacecraft, artifacts from distant planets, and flickering holograms of strange life forms filled the space with silent testimony. Zog’s soft blue glow shimmered with intensity, casting long shadows between the displays.

On Luminos, everyone was blue. It was the colour of certainty—measured, tested, confirmed. The brightness of a Luminite’s glow was a telltale sign that something was on their mind.
