With Love, Ella:

Ella Chambers was a top event planner in New York, about to marry the man of her dreams. Daniel Collins was the quarterback for the Giants, on his way to winning his first ever Super Bowl. Life couldn’t get any better when they both said those three words to each other and planned to spend the rest of their lives together.
Until one perfect day came crashing down around them when they hear the three words no one wants to hear: You have cancer.

Now instead of dresses, flowers, and invitations, they’re dealing with doctors appointments, tests, and tears. Their love and strength will be tested and tortured, but they’ll fight with everything they’ve got to make it through.

Daniel, Ever After:

Daniel and Molly are both lost in their own worlds. They recently lost the most important people in their lives. They are connected in so many ways but are complete strangers. They are barely hanging on, but a drunken encounter sends them over the edge of despair. Can they bring each other out of their misery, or will they continue to push each other away until it’s too late? Find out in the sequel to With Love, Ella, titled Daniel, Ever After.

read an excerpt...
Daniel stumbled into their bedroom late into the night after a few celebratory drinks with his and Ella’s families. They had been on a high from winning the Super Bowl and the only thing that would have made that night any better would have been getting to celebrate it with Ella. He was grateful she was at least able to see the win up close instead of through a TV screen.

He couldn’t shake the bad feeling he had as he tossed and turned all night. He knew any day now she would be gone, and he would have to go on without her. He wasn’t sure if that was even possible. She was his strength, and his rock. He finally fell asleep thinking about the sleeping beauty lying next to him.

Daniel awoke the next morning due to the bright light shining through the window. He groaned and rolled over, trying to block the sun out. When he realized he wasn’t going to fall back asleep, he sat up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. He looked down to see it was 10:30 a.m. and that Ella was still sleeping, then did a double take and screamed. She was gray, and he knew in his gut that if he felt her, she would be cold.

Ella Collins, the love of his life, was dead and there was nothing he could do about it.

ABOUT ALEXA RANDOLPH...
Does this book have a special meaning to you? i.e. where you found the idea, its symbolism, its meaning, who you dedicated it to, what made you want to write it?
This book series is very special to me as it is the first two books I wrote. They became a part of my family. I realized as I continued to write it was a way of healing from a bad car accident I had been In and the grieving process I went through. It was like my characters and I went through it together for different reasons. I dedicate the books to my parents because they always supported me from start to finish.

Where do you get your storylines from?
It’s a little bit from people the I know, but mostly from story ideas that come in my head.

Was this book easier or more difficult to write than others?  Why?
I would say it was hard as it was my first two. I think the second book was easier because I had a better writing technique from the coaching I had with the previous book.

Do you only write one genre?
I typically have written and read romance and women’s fiction.

Give us a picture of where you write, where you compose these words…is it Starbucks, a den, a garden…we want to know your inner sanctum?
I typically write at home. Most of the time at my kitchen table and sometimes I will sit in bed and write. I like the comfort of being in my space and I typically have coffee as I am writing.

And finally, of course…was there any specific event or circumstance that made you want to be a writer?
I am not sure. I am an only child and have always had a wild imagination. I would make up stories and scenarios in my head. As I grew up, I would write letters and cards to family and friends. I finally came up with an idea for a book that I was passionate about. I researched and outlined before finally writing and "With Love, Ella" was born.
